 Classification of protection degrees for devices

The index of IP (Index of Protection) is designated the protection degree of construction against penetration of external objects, dust and moisture. An index consists of two numbers, for example Ip54. In a table description of protection degrees is resulted in accordance with a standard MEK 529 (DIN VDE 0470 Part1 / EN60529 / IEC 529).

Protecting of man against a casual contact hands with active or internal moving parts, but without protecting from intentional access to such parts. Protecting of object against penetration of hard foreign objects with size more than 50 mm.

Apeak falling drops of water must not give undesirable effects.

against the foreign bodies with average sizes

Protecting of man against a casual contact fingers with active or internal moving parts. Protecting of object against penetration of hard foreign objects with size more than 12 mm.
